Patintero is a children's game usually played on empty streets, schoolyards and beaches. It involves a grid lin drawn on the ground where one team will try to pass through the opposing team while the opposing team will try to catch them without leaving the grid lines all throughout the page.

A very popular game played by children and even adults who
wish to bring back their childhood days. This game can be played any day and
any place with few vehicles passing by. The only needed instrument in playing
this game is an empty can, it can be sardines or sardines. The games can be
played by enormous players.
It is a game where a player, called IT, will be the one who
will guard a standing can inside a circle. Once the game starts, the other
players, called the hitters, will hit the can. If one hitter successfully hits
the can, the IT must get it and bring it back inside the circle. On the other
hand, the hitters must get their slippers and run up to the toe-line. The one
who will be tag will be the next IT.

In the Philippines, Traditional
Games or Native Games are mostly played during summer where children going to school
are on vacation. These Games usually blooms in barrios due to limited source of
modern toys. It can be physical games or can also be moral.
Kids of different ages gather on
someone’s backyard or even at the road to play games with their playmate. One
of these games is the ever famous Patintero. Other games are Luksong Tinik,
Piko, Litson Baka, Siatong, Sipa and many more. These games became their past
times.
